The HEL-TAC (High Energy Laser Tactical) Rifle is the default ranged device for the Robotics class. Firing bolts of energy from the two prongs at the buisness end, the HEL-TAC is fully automatic, and has a zoom function capable of increasing it's effective range by 30%. A solid weapon, the HEL-TAC is capable of putting out a significant damage at a medium to long range, and is a favored weapon of the PvE Robotics.
Experienced Robotics may instead opt for the Harken SMG, which has surperior damage per second but at a shorter range than the HEL-TAC.
Agents specializing in Robotics are given a HEL-TAC during the Tutorial (Agents that skip the tutorial will find a HEL-TAC already in their inventory). Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic variants may be found as a reward for completing PvE and PvP missions and they can also be purchased for Mercenary Tokens from Dome City's Robotics Gear vendors.
